Chalmers is looking for an Advancement Officer – Prospect Analytics & CRM Development, who wants to play a key role in developing Chalmers into an internationally leading, data-driven fundraising organization and help enable tomorrow’s innovation and research.
Job description
In this role, you will work on identifying potential major donors to Chalmers in both Sweden and internationally, expanding our prospect pool of alumni and friends, as well as foundations and companies. You will be in a key position to improve our fundraising data in our CRM system and develop how it connects to publicly available information. You will also work with reporting, analysis, due diligence, and other processes, and help develop automated marketing together with the fundraising and alumni team. We are increasingly exploring AI-based solutions in this development.
With us, you’ll have the opportunity to influence Chalmers' future fundraising strategy from the ground up, while developing professionally in an innovative environment with great opportunities for learning and personal responsibility.
You will be part of a growing fundraising team with ambitious goals for the coming years. The team covers the entire fundraising process—from prospect research and relationship-building to major gifts and broad campaigns. We collaborate closely with Chalmers’ departments, areas of advance, alumni relations, communications, industry collaboration, and the student union.
We offer a stimulating and dynamic work environment at one of Sweden’s leading technical universities. As a foundation-owned university, Chalmers has unique opportunities to conduct fundraising with great flexibility, giving us a strategic position to become a leader in academic fundraising in Northern Europe.
Key Responsibilities
• Identify individuals, companies, and foundations that may want to join our community of donors
• Develop and enrich fundraising data in our CRM system with publicly available information
• Lead the development of automated and AI-based marketing processes together with the fundraising and communications teams
• Work with reporting, analysis, due diligence, and other processes related to fundraising
• Contribute strategically to the development of our long-term fundraising strategy through data analysis and innovative solutions
• Collaborate closely with the rest of the fundraising team, alumni relations, corporate partnerships, communications, and other relevant internal stakeholders to achieve our shared goals
Contract terms
Permanent full-time employment.
Qualifications
Required:
• At least three years of experience in prospect research, CRM development, or marketing automation
• Experience with or a strong interest in applying AI-based tools and data analytics in fundraising/marketing
• University degree in computer science, engineering, economics, or a relevant field
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written
• Ability to work from Gothenburg and travel within Sweden and internationally as needed
Meritorious:
• Experience in academic fundraising or a similar international environment
• Proficiency in Swedish and other languages
• Experience with advanced data management, CRM systems, and/or analytical tools
What we offer
