What you will do

You will be part of the fantabulous SW development team in the Vehicle Motion Management sub-stream as Traction- End User Function Owner (EUFO) with the global responsibility and control of the Traction end user functionality and technology offering across Volvo Group brands, and its maintenance as well.
You will have the prospect to work across the entire vehicle and gain a unique understanding of how it works. This is your way to assess how the traction functionality interacts with and impacts other components and systems. As owner, you have the final say and full responsibility for the Traction end user functionality.
Who are you?
You have a Master of Science in Electronics, Software engineering, Mechatronics or similar. You also have experience in End User Function ownership, where you have defined requirements on a high level down to requirement allocation on ECU level.
To succeed in this role, we believe you are experienced and comfortable to:
* Be the voice of the customer for Traction EUF
* Lead the SW quality readiness before release by being in real trucks, SIL & HIL environment
* Lead the resolution for Traction related product issues found by real customers in the field, development projects, manufacturing when applicable.
* Lead QM process including FMEA, Functional Safety and Cyber Security for Traction EUF
* Lead system engineering in our technical team and play an active role in the delivery.
* Lead Traction short/long term roadmap with Product owner/s, feature leaders, Strategic product planning, Volvo group brands and other stakeholders
* Lead the implementation of system architecture strategies in the end product delivered.
* Lead concept investigations with teams. Steer exploration of alternatives and take the concept for approval through different decision forums.
* Lead the supplier discussions for Traction EUF
* Secure that system and non-functional requirements are correctly implemented.
* Actively support Product Owner in clarifying needs of capabilities/enablers and breaking down those to features/enablers.
* Manage the Traction interfaces and non-functional requirements with all the Traction related delivery teams eg. Development teams, HMI teams.
* Comfortable in leading on complex group tasks with versatile stakeholders
* Maintain existing in-house and supplier Traction sw code.
C- Truck driving license or SAFe certification is a merit.
Technical skills: Vehicle dynamics knowledge, Systemweaver, C, Simulink, concur testing, CI/CD, GIT, Agile tools (jira, confluence)
