Role Summary
As an IT Service Manager in Product Development IT, you’ll work closely with Scania R&D to ensure critical applications are running smoothly and are continuously evolving with user needs. Your focus will be on improving day-to-day operations, ensuring that our IT services meet the highest standards of performance and reliability, and working with vendors — while having opportunities to drive improvements and enhancements.
Job Responsibilities
Lead and Innovate: Be the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for all communication with application vendors, handling procurement, managing licenses, budgets, and agreements. Drive improvement work and add new functionality needed by the business.
Ensure Operational Excellence: Work on IT infrastructure and manage security for your applications. Collaborate with vendors and customer support to ensure day-to-day operations, manage and solve incidents, and help users choose the right IT solutions.
Agile Management: Facilitate backlog management, ensuring transparency and collaboration. Represent the team in planning, decision-making forums, and cross-functional alignment meetings.
Stakeholder Engagement: Drive stakeholder engagement from product management, customer collaborations, and development teams, ensuring user needs and strategic values are aligned. Ensuring compliance requirements are embedded in the product lifecycle.

Your background likely includes experience in working with IT applications or services, and are comfortable with managing stakeholders and coordinating vendors. You thrive in ambiguity, can bridge business and technology fluently, and enjoy bringing structure to complexity.
Self-Motivated and Communicative: You are self-going, communicative, and have excellent social skills. You are structured, supportive, and have a passion for understanding end-users and their business.
Agile and Innovative: You think and breathe agile, have the courage to challenge existing ways of working, and are creative in how you test new ideas.
Experienced and Knowledgeable: You have an academic education or equivalent experience, with at least 4-5 years of work experience in project or change management, application development, support, or other relevant areas. You have broad technical IT knowledge, ideally with experience in cloud computing, system administration, or DevOps on infrastructure solutions.
User-Centric: You have a strong user-centric mindset and are fascinated by how technology can unlock people’s productivity.
Fluent in English: You master English fluently in both speaking and writing. Knowing Swedish is an advantage.
