We are looking for service engineers for our sites in Stockholm and Karlskrona.

The Surveillance business area, which includes Combat Systems, offers world-leading sensor technology in surveillance and decision support to protect against threats. The portfolio includes airborne, ground-based and marine radars, electronic warfare, combat management, aviation systems and cyber security. Operations are conducted in Sweden, USA, UK, Australia, Germany, South Africa, United Arab Emirates, Norway, Denmark and Finland.

We provide commissioning and field service on Saab 9LV combat systems. We work in all phases of a project, from commissioning, setting to work, training, acceptance to support after system delivery. You will collaborate with experienced engineers and professionals in an environment that fosters career development and personal growth. With us, you will work with exciting technology in advanced and complex systems.

Our products are used on marine platforms (platforms above and below the water surface) and have the task of compiling information from sensors, data links and weapon systems in order to give the operator the best opportunity to make the right decision.

We are based in Järfälla, Stockholm and Karlskrona, Blekinge.

Your role

You will take part in projects from initial commissioning to final delivery of a ship as well as surveys on upcoming midlife upgrades and support activities for delivered systems. The role is multi-disciplinary and dynamic and your task will vary during the progress of the project. As a , you will work in close cooperation with System Engineers and Software Integrators from Saab as well as working with technical representatives of the various subsupplier organizations and shipyards. s are the ones responsible for getting the system installed and the ship up and running. We can promise that your days will be varied and filled with opportunities to demonstrate your problem solving abilities.

Your Profile

You are a confident communicator in Swedish and English. You share information in a clear and easy way, verbally and in writing. You have a collaborative mind-set and you are a true team player. You are self-driven with a "get the job done" attitude. Curiosity and the ability to learn new technical areas are necessary attributes for the role.

We believe that you have a solid technical background with a wide technical knowledge base and interest.

Required skills:

* Formal degree from technical high school, or equivalent
* Experience in working with commissioning and installation of both hardware and software
* Troubleshooting and reparations skills
* Service and maintenance knowledge

Desired skills:

* Experience in the naval domain and or defense industry
* Network and network switches knowledge
* Linux command line
* Functional diagram understanding
* Serial communication (ex RS 422)

The position will require travels within Sweden and internationally, depending on the program phase and requirements.

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
